Melissa joined the APC staff in October 2008 as the Smart Start Coordinator. She has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and a Master’s degree in Family Studies, both from The University of Alabama. Prior to her work with the APC, Melissa was a Child Development Specialist, and more recently, the Training Coordinator for Child Development Resources at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. She possesses 9 years of experience working with children and a variety of the people and systems that affect their lives.
